updated statement of intent 25/4/19

Statement of Intent: My aim is to tell a story about a stereotypical teenage Asian girl who struggles to believe that her best friend has passed away which will be conveyed through a film trailer and three film posters. My trailer will show the journey of how two best friends enjoy their time together until the equilibrium is disrupted by one of the girls dying in a car accident. The story from then will show how the main character struggles to cope with the pain and loss of her best friend and resorts to consuming alcohol and taking drugs. The alcohol and drugs help suppress her feelings, however, even after her friend’s death, she continues to see her best friend around as if she were alive. The protagonist taking this dramatic step will lead to the  new equilibrium  where her best friend  (the Hero, Propp’s)  will help the protagonist  (the princess, Propp’s)  and stop her from taking drugs/alcohol and help her get closure. Final statement of intent 13/2/19

Statement of Intent:   My aim is to tell a story about a  stereotypical  teenage  Asian girl  and her struggles to maintain her parents’ wishes whilst trying to come to terms with her own desires which will be conveyed through a film trailer and three posters. The story will show the  journey  of the teenager and how she  struggles with popularity  forcing her to do things that she is uncomfortable with. Throughout all of this, she writes everything down in her  'secret diary ' that nobody knows  about leading to the  disequilibrium.  The  disequilibrium  will show how the ‘evil girl’  (the villain, Propp’s  character theory) reveals the diary to the parents of the protagonist. The parents become disappointed because they thought their daughter was  well cultured  and had  strong values . My characters journey will show her trying to run away and during that scene I will have  fast paced editing  to create  tension  but throughout the trailer the majority of  editing  wil

Radio: War of the Worlds

1) What is the history and narrative behind War of the Worlds? War of the Worlds, a science-fiction novel by author HG Wells, was first published in 1898. It is a story of alien invasion and war between mankind and an extra-terrestrial race from Mars. In 1938, the world was on edge as Germany mobilised to invade Europe and populations feared gas attacks from another world war. In the weeks leading up to the 1938 broadcast, American radio stations had increasingly cut into scheduled programming to bring news updates from Europe on the chances of war.
