  • I think I had a clear developed narrative that followed Todorov's theory of Equilibrium.
  • I covered a range of theories which helped me develop my concept 
  • I had an original marketing campaign in order to increase awareness of my film

  • I think I could have researched into different funding companies for example the company that funded the film 'Bend it Like Beckham'. This is because my film is very similar to it as it shows the main character struggling in a western society with her conservative parents. But also because my film is a low budget British film.

Conclusion:

I think I would need to update my statement of intent and just clarify a few details, my narrative is very clear and has a good structure. I've clearly mentioned my target audience within my presentation but will have to clarify it in my statement of intent. I think my film fits the genre of coming of age because it follows the journey of a 17 year old teenage girl struggling to grow up in an Asian household with conservative parents whilst struggling to gain popularity in a modern day society. I think now that I have done the presentation I can add a lot more theory and terminology to my statement of intent as I have a much clearer understanding of what I want to produce.

My Responses Blade Runner 2049 - a gigantic spectacle of pure hallucinatory craziness: I agree with some of the content in this article even though I didn't quite engage with the narrative. I found the film quite confusing probably because I haven't seen the first film, however the film was visually appealing. The editing and cinematography made the film entertaining and also I loved the though process behind some of the shots. Film Industry: BBFC film regulation

1) Research the  BBFC  in more detail: what is the institution responsible for? How is it funded? What link does it have to government? The British Board of Film Classification is responsible for the classification of videos under the Video Recording Act 1984. The BBFC is not a profit organisation, and it's fees are adjusted only to cover it's costs. The BBFC never recieves subsidies from either the film industry or the government. Their income is solely rom the fees they charge for their services which is calculated by measuring the running time of films or DVDs submitted for classification. Deutschland 83 Close-textual analysis

Scene 1: Garden/BBQ scenes (East & West Germany) 4.58 – 8.20 and 34.00 – 37.20 East Germany There is a sense of happiness while music plays in the background. Family values are reinforced in this scene because Martin Rauch gets his mother a gift as well as the aunt does too. A quite friendly and homely environment is created because there is a lot of family an friends at the barbecue. The people are drinking alcohol from bottles and singing along to folk and pop music.
